Financial planning

At Raymond James, we have a central team of financial planners who will support
you with your financial planning needs.

Financial planning can help answer some of the bigger picture questions when it comes to personal finance. The answers to these questions can then help with investment management – the building of bespoke portfolios that meet your objectives.

Advice can be sought on a one-off basis (sometimes known as ‘transactional’ advice) or an ongoing basis (where an annual fee is charged). Having this flexibility means that you pay for financial planning only when you need to.

We would recommend bringing in a financial planner when faced with questions such as:

  • What is the best way to withdraw from my pensions?
  • Does it make sense to consolidate my pension pots?
  • Am I going to leave behind an inheritance tax bill?
  • How can I gift to my family, loved ones or charity in a tax efficient manner?
  • Will my family be financially secure if I go into care or pass away unexpectedly?

As wealth managers, we seamlessly liaise with the financial planners to ensure that any recommendations that you would like to proceed with are translated into your investment portfolio.
